I'm trying to remember how I first discovered you and your blog, and I can't. You are well-established out there, and I've encountered you in a number of ways. I was thrilled to see your photography contributions directly to the Etsy blog. I really think that you're doing a lot to promote and support the community.

I've been challenged by photographing items that are made with shiny fabric, and I wonder if you have any suggestions for this situation.

Here is my Etsy store:

Hi,
I would really like to see more before and after fotos with all the details, what to take care for.
This always helps me with my fotos of paper jewelry.
Would like to send you my own before and after fotos, to hear what you think about them, if you still want some (or do you have way to much fotos?)
Greetings from Germany

I would love to get some help on cheap lighting. Being a starving artist I don't have a lot of moola for expensive studio lighting.
Thanks!

Hi Marlo-

I just discovered your blog today but am very thankful I did. I'm just starting to launch and etsy site (http://www.etsy.com/shop/ABirdInTheHandArt?ref=pr_shop_more) and have really been stuck on the photography step. I make jewelry and paintings and have yet to get a good picture of my jewelry. Thanks for all the great insight you are giving!

On another note, I also have recently discovered etsyRAIN and will be trying to attend some events in the near future. I recognized your name and hopefully will get to meet you sometime!

Keep up the good work. Us new crafters appreciate it :)

Aloha and thank you for a wonderful, informative blog!

I was perusing through Etsy's forums when I found you...I'm a self-taught photographer and I also feature wearable fine art glass tile pendants in my Etsy shop(http://www.etsy.com/shop/TreasuresFromHawaii)...I'm constantly trying to improve my photos - especially for the pendants - It has been difficult for me to succeed taking a picture of a "picture"(I use my own mini-photos on these pendants) and have both the clarity of the photo details along with no glare on the glass tile in the finished image!

You are doing wonderful things by giving back...Mahalo/thanks again and keep up the gr8 work...God bless...Dava
